It is said a time between dusk on November 21 and dawn on November 22, the ghosts of a father and daughter, that were killed in the Crouch Road murder, are said to reunite in this secluded cemetery outside of Jackson, Michigan. Claims of fog being seen settling over Jacob Crouch's grave have been made.

Members present (at this investigation): Lisa M., Kenny T., Chris J., and Jason

Our night began at about 7pm. We, the Highland Ghost Hunters, Started the journey into uncharted (for us anyways) territory. We were on our way to the much talked about, Reynolds Cemetery. We have no idea what to expect tonight. The stories that we have found on the internet state that "people from all over Michigan come to the cemetery to watch the famous meeting of Eunice and Jacob." Will we arrive and have 100 other people waiting there to see the same phenomenon that we are seeking ourselves? The drive was a bit long and unfamiliar. After stopping at a gas station on Ann Arbor Rd. in Jackson to get more detailed directions to our destination, we were a bit excited when the man behind the counter stated that many others were looking for directions to the same location that evening. Finally, after about two hours, we arrive. To our surprise, others are there waiting. There are three cars parked on the side of the street. We sit and watch for a moment, we see a few people get out of their cars and walk inside. After a few moments, The people return to their cars and all three decided to leave. We are alone. This was our opportunity. We get out of the car and walk inside. The time is about 9:15pm. The cemetery is small and sits next to Faith Baptist Church at the corner of Reynolds Rd. and Horton Rd. We begin our search for the graves of Jacob Crouch or Eunice White. After intently reading every stone, we cannot find the ones we are looking for. We call Jenny, another member of the group who was unable to physically be there with us, for information. As she frantically searches the internet for better information, we are fearful for a moment that we are possibly in the wrong place. Jenny reads from a website about the meeting of the father, Jacob and the daughter, Eunice. The two are buried in two separate cemeteries just five miles apart. As the story goes, Eunice travels from her location to the grave of Jacob. So are we at the cemetery where Jacob is buried? Or is this the one where Eunice is buried? We are unsure, adrenaline is flowing through our veins, the excitement is overwhelming. Just as we are deciding whether we need to keep looking or if we need to find the other cemetery, a large group of kids from the area arrive. There were approximately 10-15 people in this group.

We approach them and begin to ask for details. They are convinced that we are in fact in the right cemetery. At that moment, Jenny finds some new information. She finds the name of the other Cemetery. It is St. Johns Cemetery. After much thought, we decided to leave and go to St. Johns. Tonight, Jenny being the internet queen, she is map questing us some directions. The time now is about 10:00pm. We leave Reynolds Cemetery in our search for St. Johns. We drive up the street about a quarter of a mile and turn around. While passing again by Reynolds Cemetery, we notice that we have left just in time. The police have arrived and are making people leave. Whew! Just by a hair, we miss them! Jenny then realizes that she is unable to find the address for St. Johns Cemetery so we decided to go to the Mobile gas station on the corner of Reynolds Rd. and M-60. We go inside and ask for directions. The people inside the station were more than willing to help us out. We talk to the attendant, Robert, who tells us where we need to go. (This is kind of funny! As we were leaving the gas station, the attendant told us to watch for deer. Afterwards he stated that maybe he shouldn't have said that, the last time he did the people hit a deer right up the Rd. So we leave the gas station and about 5 seconds down the Rd. there is a deer standing in the middle or the Street. I thought it was funny.) Again, we are off. We are on a mission. We will find this place once and for all. We follow the directions that were given to us, and to our disappointment, we did find a Cemetery, but it was not the one we were looking for. Again, we were in the wrong place. The time now is about 10:30pm. Feeling frustrated and unfamiliar with the area, we return to the Mobile gas station. Robert, the attendant, tells us his wife, Michelle is very interested in this sort of thing and if we would like him to he could give her a call to see what she knows about the "haunting". Of course, we agree. After talking to Michelle on the phone, we determine that we NEED to be at the cemetery on Reynolds Rd. We were in the right place all along. She states that the grave of Jacob Crouch has an unmarked stone. Again, we return to the Cemetery. We arrive at about 11:00pm and there are more people there. We stop the car and begin to talk to them. The first person we meet is a fun 16 year old, Brett Leach, from Jackson Michigan. He is having fun with the night and decided to wear a ghostly mask.

He is then joined by a couple of his friends. Matt Hobe from Horton Michigan and Brian MacCready from Jackson Michigan. We stay and chat with them for a moment. We are digging for information. We are eager to hear what they know. To our disappointment, they have only heard the same stories as ourselves. (They also asked us to look at their website www.cantaloupearmy.com ...Give them some love...check out their site!)

We enter the cemetery. At this point we meet the father of Matt Hobe. Vaughn Hobe, who explains to us that he is very interested in the research of UFO's. He tells us a story about a spaceship that landed near his home. Vaughn was a very interesting man! (Told us of a website that he said we should check out www.earthfiles.com)

At this time, we also meet some other really nice people. Charles Riley, John Riley, Lisa, and Michael Riley. All were very interested in what we were doing and very eager to know about it all!

After about 30 minutes everyone leaves the cemetery. Again, we are alone. Time to get down to business. The time now is approximately 11:30pm. Our investigation officially begins. The cemetery was kind of small. There were a lot of older stones as well as some newer ones. Some of the stones were unreadable and some looked as though they had never been written on. There was one part of the cemetery that was a bit unnerving at times. We were receiving abnormal EMF readings, while walking to the area it seemed to get much colder. At one point the temperature gauge read -25F. So for the big question, did we see the spirits of Jacob Crouch or Eunice White? That we are unsure about, but what we can say is there was an eeriness to this place like no other place we have visited. Now for the rest of this page i will present to you the evidence. Please give us your thoughts about the pictures. We love to know what others think. If you think you have an explanation for the pictures, please explain. If you think the photos are defiantly paranormal, tell us that too. If you think we are just completely crazy and out of our minds, well we even want to hear about that! We never claim to have all the answers. Over the years we have actually learned a lot from other peoples suggestions. Just because we post a pic and tell you what we think, it doesn't in anyway mean that is the only explanation. That is just our viewpoint. Like i said we are always open for comments and suggestions!

This pic looked a little strange to us. We see a foggy mist-like anomaly. We have taken photos before that had "breath" appear in them, but none appear as this. In this one the mist/breath appears to be wispy.  Please take into consideration that it was November in Michigan so capturing warm breath is a great possibility.  Is it just warm breath dissapating, what is your opinion on this photo?

In this pic again, we see the wispy mist-like anomaly, still unsure if this is due to someones warm breath captured in the cold.  What is your opinion?

From our expirences, this is what "breath" normally apears like in a photo when close to the camera lens.

We know that everyone has their own viewpoints on what kinds of things they consider to be "paranormal". Again, if you have ANY comments at all on these pics or any other pics on our page, please do hot hesitate to e mail us or post a comment. We will be waiting to hear from you!
